The Turkish Chamber (Türckische Cammer) is one of the oldest and most important collections of Ottoman art outside of Turkey.

Thanks to their taste, their passion for collecting and their desire to perpetuate princely power, the Saxon electors collected legendary values of the so-called “Turkish fashion” in the 16th and 19th centuries.

The admiration of the Ottoman Empire for the Saxon Elector and King Augustus the Strong of Poland was particularly influential. The richness of the art world is documented here by more than 600 exhibits in halls with a total area of 750 square meters.
