Ebru

Ebru is a Turkish paper art called “Turkish Marbling. The image is first made with paints on water, and then it can be transferred to paper, fabric, wood, glass, and ceramics.

The artist’s tools are brushes, awl, comb and paints. To keep the colors from dissolving in water, they add a thickening agent to the water, an extract from the Heven plant. When mixed together, the colors form bizarre and unique patterns.
